About This Position
GE Vernova is seeking a Lead Regional Customer Application Engineer (RCAE) for the Americas, based in Upper Union, Schenectady County, US. This senior technical role drives pre‑ITO engagement with new unit customers across North America, shaping proposals and positioning GE Vernova as the preferred partner.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical liaison for new‑unit customers throughout the pre‑Inquiry‑To‑Order (pre‑ITO) phase.
- Influence customer decisions and position GE Vernova’s solutions to win opportunities.
- Define optimal technical configurations and develop winning strategies for firm proposals.
- Collaborate with sales, engineering, product management, and service teams to ensure alignment on technical scope.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations, system studies, and feasibility analyses.
- Maintain accurate opportunity records in CRM and provide regular status updates to leadership.
- Support post‑proposal technical reviews and assist in contract negotiations when required.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Energy Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 8 years of experience in power generation equipment sales, application engineering, or project development within the North American market.
- Proven track record of influencing large‑scale customers and delivering technical solutions that lead to successful contracts.
- Strong understanding of gas turbines, steam turbines, and renewable generation technologies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to travel up to 50% across the United States and Canada.
- Willingness to obtain and maintain any required security clearances.
Compensation
Base salary: $152,028.86 per year.
