Lead Quality Engineer – Replicant (Canada)

Replicant is seeking a Lead Quality Engineer to drive testing excellence for its AI‑powered contact‑center platform. Based in Canada, you will lead a team that ensures the reliability, performance and security of AI agents handling millions of customer interactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and own the quality strategy for AI conversation intelligence and virtual agent products.
• Lead a cross‑functional team of QA engineers, test automation developers and data analysts.
• Design, implement and maintain automated test frameworks for functional, performance, scalability and security testing.
• Develop test plans, test cases and acceptance criteria aligned with product roadmaps and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with product, engineering and data science teams to embed quality checks early in the development lifecycle.
• Analyse defect trends, drive root‑cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in software quality engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Strong expertise in test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience testing AI/ML‑driven applications, speech‑recognition or natural‑language processing systems is a plus.
• Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript or Java.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work remotely or on‑site within Canada and collaborate across global teams.
