About This Position
Job Summary
WSP USA is seeking a Lead P C Engineer for its Atlanta, Fulton County office. This senior role provides technical leadership on multi‑site substation projects within the Power & Energy Substation Team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead engineering design, analysis, and construction support for high‑voltage substations across multiple phases and sites.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and drafters.
- Develop and review project specifications, schematics, and protection‑coordination studies.
- Coordinate with clients, utilities, and contractors to ensure project objectives are met on time and within budget.
- Conduct site visits, oversee testing, and ensure compliance with industry standards (IEEE, NERC, IEC).
- Prepare technical reports, cost estimates, and risk assessments.
- Support business development by contributing to proposals and client presentations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in substation design, protection, and control engineering.
- Strong knowledge of power system studies, relay settings, and SCADA integration.
- Proficiency with engineering software such as ETAP, PowerFactory, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work in an office‑based or hybrid environment; remote flexibility for qualified candidates.
Compensation & Benefits
