Junior ServiceNow Developer

GovCIO is seeking a Junior ServiceNow Developer to support mission‑critical applications for the U.S. Coast Guard. This fully remote role is based out of Cammack Village, Pulaski County, US, with a salary of $102,710.63.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior developers and product owners to design, build, and maintain ServiceNow applications and automated workflows.
• Follow the Software Lifecycle Management Plan (SLMP) to ensure proper version control, testing, and documentation.
• Develop and configure ServiceNow modules such as Incident, Request, Change, and Knowledge Management.
• Participate in daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, and code reviews within an Agile environment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, providing timely support to end‑users.
• Assist in creating technical documentation, user guides, and training materials.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. Secret clearance requirements and security protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Basic knowledge of ServiceNow platform architecture, scripting (JavaScript, Glide API), and workflow design.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and service management concepts.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work remotely with a distributed team.
• U.S. Secret clearance or ability to obtain one.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with REST/SOAP integrations, data imports, and reporting.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Certifications such as ServiceNow Certified System Administrator.
