Junior ServiceNow Developer

GovCIO is seeking a Junior ServiceNow Developer for a fully remote role supporting the U.S. Coast Guard, based out of Wyoming, Kent County, US. This entry‑level position involves designing, developing, and maintaining mission‑critical ServiceNow applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior developers and product owners to build functional ServiceNow applications and automated workflows.
• Follow the Software Lifecycle Management Plan (SLMP) to ensure proper version control, testing, and documentation.
• Assist in troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving incidents and service requests.
• Participate in daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives within an Agile environment.
• Maintain and update technical documentation, knowledge‑base articles, and configuration records.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting enhancements to existing processes.

Required Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of ServiceNow platform modules (ITSM, ITOM, or custom app development).
• Familiarity with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and REST APIs.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work remotely in a team‑oriented setting.
