Junior ServiceNow Developer

GovCIO is seeking a Junior ServiceNow Developer to design, develop, and maintain mission‑enabling applications for the U.S. Coast Guard. This fully remote role is based in Washington, D.C., US.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior developers and business analysts to build functional ServiceNow applications and automated workflows.
• Follow the Software Lifecycle Management Plan (SLMP) to ensure quality, security, and compliance.
• Perform configuration, scripting, and integration tasks within the ServiceNow platform.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to support continuous improvement.
• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, service requests, and performance issues.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Fundamental knowledge of ServiceNow fundamentals (tables, forms, workflows, scripting).
• Basic understanding of ITIL processes and cloud concepts.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a remote team environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and REST APIs.
• Experience with Agile or Scrum development methodologies.
• Security clearance eligibility for U.S. Government contracts.
