Junior ServiceNow Developer

Job Summary

GovCIO is seeking a Junior ServiceNow Developer to design, develop, and maintain mission‑enabling applications for the U.S. Coast Guard. This fully remote role is based in Chisolm, Montgomery County, US.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior developers and business analysts to create functional ServiceNow applications and automated workflows.
• Follow the Software Lifecycle Management Plan (SLMP) to ensure code quality, testing, and documentation.
• Participate in daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, and code reviews within an Agile environment.
• Assist in troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving incidents and service requests.
• Maintain system configurations, update knowledge bases, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Basic knowledge of ServiceNow platform, including tables, forms, workflows, and scripting (JavaScript).
• Familiarity with ITIL concepts and IT service management processes.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
• Effective communication and ability to work remotely in a collaborative team.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with ServiceNow Development (e.g., Service Catalog, Incident Management, Service Portal).
• Understanding of REST/SOAP APIs and integration techniques.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Compensation & Benefits
