About This Position
Job Summary
GovCIO is seeking a Junior ServiceNow Developer to design, develop, and maintain mission‑enabling applications for the U.S. Coast Guard. This fully remote role is based in Chisolm, Montgomery County, US.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior developers and business analysts to create functional ServiceNow applications and automated workflows.
- Follow the Software Lifecycle Management Plan (SLMP) to ensure code quality, testing, and documentation.
- Participate in daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, and code reviews within an Agile environment.
- Assist in troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving incidents and service requests.
- Maintain system configurations, update knowledge bases, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Basic knowledge of ServiceNow platform, including tables, forms, workflows, and scripting (JavaScript).
- Familiarity with ITIL concepts and IT service management processes.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication and ability to work remotely in a collaborative team.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with ServiceNow Development (e.g., Service Catalog, Incident Management, Service Portal).
- Understanding of REST/SOAP APIs and integration techniques.
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Compensation & Benefits
