Junior ServiceNow Developer

GovCIO is seeking a Junior ServiceNow Developer to design, develop, and maintain mission‑enabling applications for the U.S. Coast Guard. This fully remote role is based out of Baton Rouge, East Baton Rouge Parish, US, with a salary of $66,694.88 per year.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior developers and business analysts to create functional ServiceNow applications and automated workflows.
• Participate in the Software Lifecycle Management Plan (SLMP) by writing, testing, and documenting code.
• Support the configuration, customization, and integration of ServiceNow modules such as Incident, Change, and Service Catalog.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues, providing timely support to end‑users.
• Assist in data migration, system upgrades, and performance tuning.
• Maintain clear documentation and adhere to security and compliance standards for U.S. government projects.

Required Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 0‑2 years of hands‑on experience with ServiceNow development (Scripting, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub preferred).
• Familiarity with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and REST APIs.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
• Eligibility for a U.S. Secret security clearance.

Preferred Skills

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator or Developer certification.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices.
