Job Summary

GovCIO is seeking a Junior ServiceNow Developer to design, develop, and maintain mission‑enabling applications for the U.S. Coast Guard. This fully remote role is based in Douglas, Juneau, US with a salary of $78,685.21.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior developers and business analysts to create functional ServiceNow applications and automated workflows.
• Follow the Software Lifecycle Management Plan (SLMP) to ensure quality, security, and compliance.
• Participate in requirement gathering, design reviews, coding, unit testing, and documentation.
• Support ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting, and enhancements of existing ServiceNow solutions.
• Assist with data migration, integration testing, and user training as needed.
• Maintain accurate change logs and adhere to government IT standards.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Fundamental knowledge of ServiceNow platform, scripting (JavaScript, Glide), and workflow design.
• Understanding of ITIL processes and basic incident, problem, and change management concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work in a remote team environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with ServiceNow modules such as Incident, Change, Service Catalog, or Asset Management.
• Familiarity with REST/SOAP APIs and integration techniques.
• Exposure to Agile development methodologies.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $78,685.21 per year (fixed). Position is fully remote; candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
