About This Position
Job Summary
Join Spectrum Health Care as a Junior IT Helpdesk Technician in Markham, York Region. Provide first‑line technical support to employees and affiliates through phone, email, remote and on‑site assistance.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer incoming helpdesk calls, emails and support tickets promptly.
- Monitor the IT Helpdesk mailbox, convert requests into tickets and assign them to the appropriate team members.
- Deliver Level 1 support for desktop hardware, software, telecom and network issues.
- Install, configure and test software applications and systems to meet company requirements.
- Document resolutions and maintain accurate ticket records.
- Escalate complex problems to senior technicians while following established procedures.
- Assist with routine hardware setups, upgrades and peripheral installations.
- Participate in on‑call rotation and provide occasional on‑site support at Spectrum locations.
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; post‑secondary IT coursework or certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft 365) preferred.
- Basic understanding of Windows and macOS operating systems.
- Familiarity with common office applications, email clients and remote support tools.
- Strong communication skills and a customer‑service mindset.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software and network connectivity issues.
- Team player who can work independently and follow documented processes.
