Job Summary

Ariva Group is seeking a Junior Staff Accountant in Laredo, Webb County, TX to support month‑end and year‑end close, bank reconciliations, and the full accounts payable/receivable cycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the month‑end and year‑end close process, including journal entry preparation and posting to the general ledger.
• Perform daily bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Process accounts payable invoices, verify coding, and supervise junior AP team members.
• Manage accounts receivable, post payments, and follow up on overdue balances.
• Collect, compile, and enter payroll data using the company’s payroll software, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Review and verify source documents for accuracy and proper authorization.
• Prepare supporting schedules and reports for internal and external audits.
• Maintain and update financial records in accordance with GAAP and company policies.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1‑2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.

Compensation & Benefits
