IT Technical Business Analyst

Job Summary

Insight Global is hiring an IT Technical Business Analyst for a leading manufacturing client. The role is based in Reading, Middlesex County, US and focuses on driving digital transformation of Make‑to‑Order processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and document detailed business requirements for migration from legacy systems to Industry 4.0 platforms such as MES, LIMS, MAM, and QMS.
• Analyze current state workflows, identify gaps, and propose optimized future‑state processes.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including engineering, IT, and operations—to ensure solutions meet regulatory and quality standards.
• Create functional specifications, user stories, and process diagrams for development and implementation teams.
• Participate in system configuration, testing, and validation activities, ensuring data integrity and traceability.
• Support change management initiatives, including training material creation and end‑user training sessions.
• Monitor project milestones, report progress to stakeholders, and manage risks to keep the transformation on schedule.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years experience as a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst in a manufacturing or process‑intensive environment.
• Strong knowledge of MES, LIMS, MAM, QMS, or similar enterprise digital systems.
• Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business requirements.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards (e.g., ISO 9001, FDA 21 CFR Part 11) is a plus.
