IT Security Compliance Analyst
About This Position
SR International Inc. is seeking an IT Security Compliance Analyst to support the State of Arizona (AZDOR) in Phoenix, Maricopa County. This hybrid role is remote‑first for local Arizona residents, with occasional on‑site meetings.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and maintain compliance with federal, state, and industry security standards (e.g., NIST, FISMA, PCI‑DSS).
- Conduct regular vulnerability scans, risk assessments, and security audits of Arizona state systems.
- Develop, update, and enforce security policies, procedures, and configuration baselines.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement firewalls, encryption, password protection, and access‑control mechanisms.
- Prepare compliance reports, remediation plans, and executive briefings for stakeholders.
- Participate in incident response, root‑cause analysis, and post‑mortem reviews.
- Provide training and guidance on security best practices to staff across the agency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in IT security, with a focus on compliance and audit processes.
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks, firewalls, encryption technologies, and password management.
- Hands‑on experience with security tools such as SIEM, vulnerability scanners, and endpoint protection.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
- Eligibility to work in the United States and residency in Arizona.
Preferred Experience
- Professional certifications (CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+).
- Experience supporting government or public‑sector IT environments.
- Familiarity with Azure/AWS cloud security controls.
Compensation & Benefits
