IT Security Analyst – Helical Pile Solutions – Edmonton, Canada

Helical Pile Solutions, a leading deep‑foundations contractor recently acquired by Java Holdings Ltd., is seeking an experienced IT Security Analyst to protect its information assets across Edmonton, Calgary or Halifax.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor, assess and respond to security incidents, alerts and vulnerabilities in real time.
• Implement and maintain security controls, firewalls, intrusion detection systems and endpoint protection.
• Conduct regular risk assessments, penetration testing coordination and security audits.
• Develop and enforce security policies, standards and procedures aligned with industry best practices.
• Provide security awareness training and guidance to staff and contractors.
• Collaborate with IT operations, project teams and senior management to embed security into all business processes.
• Prepare detailed incident reports, metrics and compliance documentation.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands‑on experience in IT security or related roles.
• Strong knowledge of network security, firewalls, SIEM tools, VPNs and cloud security concepts.
• Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent) preferred.
• Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys) and patch management.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
