About This Position
The International Commodity Supplier Assurance Engineer role at RTX is a remote position based in the United States, offering up to $165,200 per year. This role ensures supplier compliance and quality for global commodity programs while maintaining a Secret DoD clearance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute supplier assurance strategies for international commodity contracts.
- Conduct risk assessments, audits, and performance evaluations of suppliers.
- Coordinate corrective action plans and monitor remediation progress.
- Collaborate with engineering, sourcing, and legal teams to align supplier standards with RTX requirements.
- Prepare and present assurance reports to senior leadership and government stakeholders.
- Maintain documentation and traceability to support DoD security and compliance audits.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or eligible immigration status with ability to obtain a Secret DoD security clearance.
- Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain one by Day 1.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience in supplier quality, assurance, or risk management, preferably in aerospace or defense.
- Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, ITAR/EAR, and commodity sourcing practices.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with supplier assurance for high‑value, mission‑critical commodities.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, and other aerospace quality standards.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, Power BI) and ERP systems.
