Key Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, and optimize electrical distribution line systems for utility and industrial clients.
- Prepare technical specifications, single‑line diagrams, and construction documents.
- Conduct load flow, fault, and stability studies using industry‑standard software.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance and project success.
- Support field inspections, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in power distribution line engineering.
- Proficiency with ETAP, PLS‑CADD, or similar design tools.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian electrical codes (CSA, OESC) and utility standards.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Preferred Skills
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation.
- Experience with renewable integration and smart grid technologies.
- Familiarity with GIS and SCADA systems.
