Inpatient Care Management, Medical Director – Remote

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and evaluate inpatient care management programs that align with Optum’s clinical standards.
• Lead a team of physicians, nurses, and care coordinators to ensure high‑quality, evidence‑based patient care.
• Analyze clinical data and utilization metrics to identify improvement opportunities and drive cost‑effective solutions.

Required Qualifications

• MD or DO degree with board certification in a relevant specialty (e.g., Internal Medicine, Hospital Medicine).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in inpatient care management or hospital medicine leadership.
• Strong analytical skills with experience using data to drive clinical improvement.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to influence cross‑functional teams.
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and telehealth platforms.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
