Individual Marketplace Business Development Manager
About This Position
WTW is seeking an Individual Marketplace Business Development Manager in Boston, Suffolk County, US. This role bridges Marketing, Sales Enablement, and Advisory Sales to drive lead generation and new client meetings for retiree products in the public sector, labor and higher education markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Marketing to design and execute campaigns that generate high‑quality leads for the Individual Marketplace.
- Partner with Sales Enablement to develop tools, scripts, and training that improve advisory sales effectiveness.
- Qualify inbound leads, establish scoring criteria, and maintain a robust lead‑qualification process.
- Identify and prioritize target accounts in the public sector, labor unions, and higher‑education institutions.
- Coordinate cross‑functional meetings and presentations to advance prospects through the sales funnel.
- Track and report on pipeline metrics, providing insights to senior leadership for strategic decision‑making.
- Continuously refine the lead‑to‑opportunity conversion process based on data‑driven analysis.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field.
- 3+ years of business development or sales experience, preferably within financial services or retirement solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to work across Marketing, Sales Enablement, and Advisory teams.
- Strong analytical skills with experience building lead‑qualification frameworks.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Experience
- Knowledge of public‑sector retiree products, labor‑union benefits, or higher‑education retirement plans.
- Experience in a consultative sales environment.
- Track record of meeting or exceeding lead‑generation targets.
Compensation & Benefits
