About This Position
Job Summary
Eco Tec is hiring an HR Benefits, Systems, and Compliance Specialist in Pickering, Durham region, Canada. This full‑time role can be onsite, hybrid, or fully remote and reports to the HR Director of Americas.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, retirement, and wellness plans.
- Maintain and update HRIS and benefits administration systems to ensure accurate data flow.
- Monitor federal, provincial and local employment legislation to guarantee compliance.
- Conduct regular audits of benefits enrollment and payroll deductions.
- Serve as the primary liaison with benefits carriers, brokers, and third‑party providers.
- Develop and deliver employee communications and training on benefits enrollment and compliance topics.
- Collaborate with payroll, finance, and talent acquisition teams to integrate benefits data.
- Prepare compliance reports and support internal and external audits.
- Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to benefits offerings and HR processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in benefits administration, HR systems, and compliance.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian employment standards and benefits regulations.
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, ADP, Ceridian) and benefits enrollment tools.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Preferred Skills
- HR certification such as CHRP, SHRM‑CP, or CIPD.
- Experience with remote or hybrid workforce benefit strategies.
- Project management experience for system implementations or upgrades.
Work Environment
