Housing Manager
About This Position
Home Group is seeking a part‑time Housing Manager on a 12‑month contract (18 hours per week) to work hybrid from Egremont, Cumbria, North West England. You will be the front‑line contact for residents, ensuring safe, well‑maintained homes and vibrant communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for tenants, addressing queries, complaints and maintenance requests promptly.
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure health and safety standards are met.
- Coordinate repairs and works with contractors, managing budgets and service level agreements.
- Maintain accurate tenancy records, rent collection and arrears monitoring.
- Support the delivery of tenancy agreements, renewals and lettings processes.
- Collaborate with the wider housing team to develop community initiatives and improve resident satisfaction.
- Prepare reports on property performance, occupancy rates and compliance for senior management.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in housing management or a similar role within the social or private sector.
- Strong knowledge of UK housing legislation, HMO regulations and health & safety standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer‑focused attitude.
- Ability to work independently and manage a mixed workload across multiple sites.
- Competency with property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Full UK driving licence (preferred).
