Monkey in the Metal is seeking a dynamic Head of Sales & Business Development to lead revenue growth in Baltimore, Baltimore County, US. This senior role combines strategic sales leadership with hands‑on business development to drive new customer acquisition and expand existing accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the company’s aggressive post‑acquisition growth targets.
- Identify, pursue, and close high‑value new business opportunities across manufacturing and related industries.
- Lead cross‑selling and upselling initiatives, uncovering hidden revenue streams within the existing customer base.
- Build, mentor, and manage a high‑performing sales team, setting clear KPIs and providing ongoing coaching.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and operations teams to ensure solutions meet client needs and drive repeat business.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms while maintaining profitable margins.
- Track market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to refine go‑to‑market tactics.
- Prepare regular sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and performance dashboards for executive leadership.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in manufacturing, industrial equipment, or related sectors.
- Proven track record of exceeding revenue targets and leading successful sales teams.
- Strong hunter mentality with demonstrated ability to open doors and close complex deals.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
- Data‑driven decision making with proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and sales analytics.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
