About This Position
Job Summary
The Group IP Paralegal at Danaher Corporation in Grand Central, Manhattan supports the intellectual property team across multiple business units, ensuring timely and accurate handling of patent and trademark matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, file, and track domestic and international patent and trademark applications.
- Maintain IP docketing systems, monitor deadlines, and coordinate with outside counsel.
- Conduct prior‑art searches, summarize findings, and assist in freedom‑to‑operate analyses.
- Draft and review IP-related correspondence, assignments, and licensing agreements.
- Support the IP team in portfolio management, including data integrity and reporting.
- Coordinate invoicing and expense tracking for external legal services.
- Provide administrative assistance for IP strategy meetings and presentations.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher in legal studies, paralegal certification, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience in a corporate IP or law‑firm environment.
- Strong knowledge of US patent and trademark procedures; familiarity with PCT and international filings is a plus.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency with IP docketing software (e.g., CPA Global, Anaqua) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Compensation & Benefits
