Key Responsibilities
- Develop, document, and maintain import/export compliance policies and procedures aligned with U.S. and international regulations.
- Conduct regular audits of shipments, documentation, and internal processes to identify and resolve compliance gaps.
- Collaborate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and internal teams to ensure accurate classification, valuation, and licensing.
- Monitor changes in trade laws (e.g., EAR, ITAR, HTS) and update internal guidelines accordingly.
- Provide training and guidance to logistics and procurement staff on compliance best practices.
- Prepare and submit required filings such as AES, EEI, and other government reports.
- Support investigations of compliance incidents and implement corrective action plans.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in import/export compliance, customs brokerage, or global logistics.
- Strong understanding of U.S. trade regulations (EAR, ITAR, HTS, C-TPAT) and international trade agreements.
- Excellent analytical, detail‑oriented, and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency with compliance software and Excel; experience with AESDirect preferred.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.
- Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain, Law, or related field is a plus.
Compensation
Salary: $60,541.57 annually (fixed). Additional benefits may include health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
