About This Position

Critical Resource Group Ltd is seeking a hands‑on Generator Engineer (Depot Engineer) in Dickens Heath, Shirley, United Kingdom. This workshop‑based role involves maintaining and repairing critical power assets such as generators, transformers, loadbanks, BESS and UPS units.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance, testing and fault diagnosis on generators, transformers, loadbanks and battery energy storage systems.
  • Repair, calibrate and commission UPS units and other critical power equipment.
  • Prepare assets for deployment, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain accurate service records and update technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to develop improvement programmes and implement training on new equipment.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Relevant engineering qualification (Electrical, Mechanical or equivalent) or proven hands‑on experience in a similar depot environment.
  • Ability to read schematics, electrical diagrams and technical manuals.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and a proactive attitude to learning new technologies.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work within a team.
  • Valid UK driving licence (preferred).
