Lap of Love is seeking an In‑Home Associate Veterinarian to provide compassionate hospice care across New York. This part‑time role offers a salary of $86,971.76 per year and flexible scheduling that supports work‑life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct house‑call examinations, diagnostics and palliative treatments for companion animals.
• Develop and communicate end‑of‑life care plans with pet owners, ensuring empathy and clear information.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records and follow Lap of Love clinical protocols.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including veterinary nurses and hospice coordinators.
• Provide client education on grief support and post‑mortem care options.
• Adhere to all regulatory, biosecurity and safety standards during in‑home visits.

Essential Requirements

• Veterinary degree (BVSc, DVM or equivalent) and current New York veterinary licence.
• Minimum 1‑year post‑graduate clinical experience, ideally with hospice, palliative or small‑animal practice.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to handle emotionally charged situations.
