About This Position
Job Summary
Manulife is seeking a Full-stack Software Engineer in Boston, Suffolk County, US. This role will design, develop, and maintain both front‑end and back‑end systems that power our customer communication channels, directly supporting Manulife’s mission to deliver seamless, digital experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Write clean, well‑documented, and efficient code for front‑end applications using React, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Develop robust back‑end services with .NET/C# and Java, ensuring high performance and scalability.
- Collaborate with product owners, designers, and QA teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Maintain code quality through code reviews, unit testing, and continuous integration pipelines.
- Take ownership of project milestones, track progress, and align team efforts with overall project goals.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, bugs, and security issues across the stack.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 3‑5 years of professional experience in full‑stack development.
- Proficiency with React, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+).
- Strong experience in .NET/C# and Java back‑end development.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, micro‑services architecture, and relational databases.
- Experience using version control (Git) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Compensation
Salary range: $80,147.89 per year.
