Job Summary
Actalent is seeking a Front Desk Medical Assistant Lead for its high‑volume orthopedic practice in Randolph, Morris County, US. This leadership role oversees front‑office operations, ensures excellent patient experiences, and supports billing and scheduling functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and check‑in patients, verifying demographics and insurance information.
- Manage daily front‑desk workflow, including appointment scheduling, patient flow, and check‑out procedures.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for patient concerns, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
- Supervise, coach, and train front‑desk staff, providing on‑the‑job guidance and performance feedback.
- Coordinate with clinical teams to ensure seamless handoffs between front office and exam rooms.
- Assist with billing, insurance verification, and claim submissions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain front‑office supplies, equipment, and cleanliness standards.
- Generate daily reports on patient volume, missed appointments, and revenue metrics.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant certification or related healthcare training preferred.
- Minimum 2 years experience in a medical front‑desk or patient services role, preferably in orthopedics or a high‑volume specialty practice.
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience, with strong coaching abilities.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical billing software.
- Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $35,208.57 annually (fixed). Comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental, vision, 401(k) and paid time off.
