Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and verify complex FPGA architectures for datalink and launcher systems.
• Write detailed specifications, create RTL code, and perform synthesis, place‑and‑route, and timing analysis.
• Integrate FPGA designs with hardware, software, and system‑level simulations.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including systems engineers, software developers, and test engineers to ensure seamless integration.
• Develop and execute test plans, including hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HIL) testing and validation.
• Maintain design documentation, version control, and configuration management in compliance with DoD standards.
• Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in FPGA design for high‑performance, safety‑critical applications.
• Proficiency with VHDL/Verilog, SystemVerilog, and FPGA development tools (Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus, etc.).
• Strong understanding of digital signal processing, high‑speed serial interfaces, and real‑time embedded systems.
• Experience with verification methodologies such as UVM, OVM, or SystemVerilog assertions.
• Familiarity with DO‑254, MIL‑STD‑883, or other aerospace/defense standards.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.
