About This Position

Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, test, and commission fire alarm systems on commercial projects ranging from office towers to industrial facilities.
- Lead small field crews, provide on‑site coaching, and ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and emergency troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and system designs to verify correct installation.
- Document work orders, generate as‑built reports, and maintain accurate inventory of parts.
- Collaborate with project managers, electricians, and HVAC teams to coordinate schedules and resolve conflicts.
- Train junior technicians on safety protocols, tool usage, and best practices.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 3 years experience installing, servicing, and troubleshooting fire alarm systems on commercial sites.
- Current State of Tennessee Fire Alarm Technician license or willingness to obtain within 90 days.
- Strong knowledge of NFPA 72, local fire codes, and electrical schematics.
- Proven leadership ability – experience supervising small crews or acting as a lead technician.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and a professional demeanor.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; reliable transportation for travel throughout the Nashville area.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in fire protection, electrical, or related field preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
