FinOps & Cloud Analytics

Info Origin Inc. is seeking a FinOps Cloud Analytics professional to join their team in Richmond, Richmond County, VA. This hybrid, long‑term contract role focuses on analyzing Azure and VITA financial data and building Power BI visualisations.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and interpret IT financial data from Azure and VITA environments, including consumption, billing, and charge‑back models.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards and reports that illustrate cost trends, server migration impacts, and workload‑optimization opportunities.
• Conduct monthly and annual variance analysis of IT spend, highlighting anomalies and recommending corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cloud architects, finance, and operations teams to define cost‑allocation rules and budgeting forecasts.
• Support charge‑back and show‑back processes for internal business units.
• Provide actionable insights to senior leadership to drive cost‑saving initiatives and cloud‑resource efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in FinOps, cloud cost management, or data analytics, preferably with Azure and VITA platforms.
• Proficiency in Power BI, DAX, and SQL for data modelling and reporting.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear business recommendations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Azure Cost Management certification or similar FinOps credentials.
• Experience with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for data extraction.
• Knowledge of ITIL or cloud governance frameworks.

Compensation

Salary: $127,386.38 per year (fixed rate for the contract term).
