Job Summary

The Financial Controller role at Nasco Staffing Solutions is a hands‑on position responsible for overseeing accounting, financial reporting, and administration across all divisions. This full‑time role is based in Berczy Park, City of Toronto, Canada, with a salary range of $80,000 – $90,000.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and analyse monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for each business division.
• Manage the general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll and cash‑flow forecasting.
• Develop and maintain internal controls, ensuring compliance with Canadian GAAP and local tax regulations.
• Coordinate the annual budgeting process and provide variance analysis to senior management.
• Oversee fixed‑asset accounting, depreciation schedules and asset disposals.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors and regulatory agencies.
• Produce timely financial dashboards and key performance indicator reports for operational teams.
• Support the HR and operations departments with financial aspects of staffing contracts and event production costs.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA or CMA designation preferred.
• 5+ years progressive experience in financial control or senior accounting roles, preferably in staffing, events or entertainment services.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian accounting standards, payroll legislation and corporate tax filings.
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication abilities.
• Detail‑oriented, able to manage multiple divisions and meet tight reporting deadlines.
• Eligibility to work in Canada.
