Job Summary
TEKsystems is seeking a skilled Field Services Technician to provide on‑site and remote technical support for end users in West Somerset, Pulaski County, US. The role focuses on hardware, software, and basic network troubleshooting within a Windows environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver hands‑on technical assistance to employees across multiple departments, both on‑site and via remote tools.
- Install, configure, and upgrade PCs, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, including Windows OS, Office suite, and common business applications.
- Perform routine maintenance, patch management, and system updates to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide basic network connectivity support, including Wi‑Fi, Ethernet, and VPN troubleshooting.
- Document incidents, resolutions, and asset inventory in the ticketing system.
- Collaborate with senior engineers for escalated problems and participate in on‑call rotation.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
- 2+ years of desktop support or field service experience in a Windows‑based environment.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Windows 10/11, Active Directory, and common business software.
- Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the assigned region.
