About This Position

Job Summary

Herman Drainage llc is seeking an Equipment Operator / Laborer for its Woodward, Dallas County site. This hands‑on role involves operating construction machinery, handling materials, and ensuring safety on‑site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a variety of construction equipment (e.g., excavators, loaders, skid‑steer loaders) safely and efficiently.
  • Perform general labor tasks such as loading/unloading materials, site cleanup, and demolition support.
  • Prepare job sites by grading, compacting, and setting up temporary structures.
  • Inspect equipment daily, report any defects, and perform routine maintenance.
  • Follow all OSHA and company safety protocols; wear required PPE at all times.
  • Assist skilled tradespeople with material handling and positioning.
  • Maintain accurate daily logs of equipment usage and work performed.
  • Work occasional overtime to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Experience operating heavy construction equipment (minimum 1‑2 years preferred).
  • Basic knowledge of construction site safety and equipment maintenance.
  • Physical ability to lift 50 lb, stand, walk, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $31,176.56 per year (fixed). Competitive benefits package including health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for overtime pay.
