Epic Systems Analyst – Ambulatory
About This Position
Highmark Health is seeking an Epic Systems Analyst – Ambulatory to join its Boise, Ada County, US team. This role configures, rolls out, and supports Epic ambulatory applications while acting as a bridge between end‑users and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, design, build, test, implement, and maintain Epic ambulatory modules.
- Gather and document business and system requirements through interviews and workflow analysis.
- Create functional specifications, configuration guides, and test scripts.
- Provide day‑to‑day support, troubleshoot issues, and deliver timely resolutions.
- Conduct user training sessions and develop training materials.
- Collaborate with IT, clinical staff, and vendors to ensure seamless integration.
- Participate in system upgrades, releases, and post‑implementation reviews.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field.
- Minimum 2 years experience configuring and supporting Epic ambulatory applications.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to translate clinical needs into technical solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience with Epic software configuration, testing, and go‑live support.
- Knowledge of healthcare workflows, regulatory standards, and data security.
Preferred Skills
- Epic certification (e.g., Epic Ambulatory).
- Experience with integration tools such as InterConnect, Bridges, or APIs.
- Project management experience in a healthcare IT environment.
