About This Position

Enterprise Data & AI Platform Architect – Cloud Solutions

NavitasPartners is seeking an Enterprise Data & AI Platform Architect to join its remote/hybrid team serving clients across the US and Canada, based in Québec, Canada. This contract/full‑time role focuses on designing cloud‑native architectures for analytics, machine learning and generative AI workloads.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable, secure cloud data platforms that support real‑time analytics, data warehousing, and AI pipelines.
  • Architect end‑to‑end ML and GenAI workflows, integrating data engineering, model training, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Define best‑practice governance, data security, and compliance frameworks for cloud environments.
  • Evaluate and recommend cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and emerging AI tools to meet performance and cost targets.
  • Create technical documentation, reference architectures, and reusable patterns for future projects.
  • Mentor junior architects and contribute to knowledge‑sharing initiatives within the team.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience designing and deploying cloud‑native data platforms and AI solutions.
  • Proficiency with major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and services such as Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, BigQuery, SageMaker, Azure ML, Vertex AI.
  • Strong knowledge of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, data lake/warehouse architectures, and streaming platforms (Kafka, Kinesis).
  • Hands‑on experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Demonstrated ability to build and operationalize ML pipelines and integrate generative AI models.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Preferred Skills

  • Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure AI Engineer, or Google Professional Data Engineer.
  • Experience with CI/CD for data and AI workloads.
  • Familiarity with data governance tools and privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA).
