Engineering Manager

ProMatch Consultancy Limited is recruiting an Engineering Manager for a leading Scottish premium food producer in Dingwall, Highland. Lead all engineering activities at a modern processing facility, ensuring reliability, safety and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day engineering operations across the plant, including maintenance, project delivery and compliance.
• Develop and execute a strategic asset management plan to maximise equipment availability and extend lifecycle.
• Lead, mentor and develop the engineering team, fostering a culture of safety, innovation and high performance.
• Manage capital‑expenditure projects from concept through commissioning, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
• Collaborate with production, quality and sustainability teams to drive process optimisation and reduce waste.
• Ensure all engineering activities comply with UK health & safety legislation, food safety standards and internal policies.
• Prepare and present performance reports, KPIs and risk assessments to senior management.

Required Skills & Experience

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Process Engineering, or equivalent technical qualification.
• 5+ years progressive engineering experience in a food‑manufacturing or similar process environment.
• Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role, leading multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance strategies (TPM, reliability centred maintenance) and capital project management.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and a data‑driven approach to continuous improvement.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across functions.
