About This Position

GE Aerospace is hiring an Engine Overhaul Flight Deck Leader in Uptown, Marion County, US. This senior role oversees engine overhaul operations, drives performance, and ensures safety and sustainability standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Flight Deck team responsible for engine overhaul planning, execution, and quality assurance.
  • Coordinate with engineering, production, and supply chain to meet schedule and cost targets.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, safety and environmental compliance.
  • Mentor and develop technicians and engineers, fostering a high‑performance culture.
  • Monitor key performance indicators, generate reports, and present results to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with FAA, EASA and internal aerospace standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in jet engine overhaul or heavy‑maintenance environments.
  • Proven leadership experience managing cross‑functional teams in a regulated aerospace setting.
  • Strong knowledge of engine diagnostics, test equipment, and overhaul procedures.
  • Excellent problem‑solving, communication and data‑analysis skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts and occasional on‑site travel.

Compensation & Benefits
