Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded firmware for PLC and related hardware platforms.
• Collaborate with systems engineers and subject matter experts to translate mission requirements into reliable software solutions.
• Perform code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure high‑quality, maintainable code.
• Integrate software with sensors, actuators, and communication interfaces used in maritime applications.
• Develop and execute unit and integration test plans, documenting results and compliance with DoD standards.
• Support field deployments, provide technical assistance, and create maintenance documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in embedded software development, preferably with PLC or real‑time operating systems.
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming, low‑level hardware interfacing, and version control (Git, SVN).
• Familiarity with safety‑critical development processes and DoD cybersecurity requirements.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, effective communication, and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain required security clearances.
