About This Position
Peter Lucas Project Management Inc. is seeking an Electrical Technologist to join its Saskatoon, Saskatchewan team. This role supports mining, energy and heavy‑industrial projects, offering diverse technical challenges and professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control system designs.
- Perform installation, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of low‑ and high‑voltage equipment on site.
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and field crews to ensure compliance with codes, standards and project specifications.
- Prepare and update technical documentation, progress reports and as‑built drawings.
- Support commissioning activities and provide on‑site technical support during construction phases.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and assist in implementing lean practices.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in industrial, mining or energy environments.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) and applicable safety regulations.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical, Revit, or similar design software.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication and teamwork skills.
- Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel to project sites as required.
