Electrical Safety Coordinator
About This Position
Job Summary
Actalent is hiring an Electrical Safety Coordinator for a large‑scale construction project in Kuna, Idaho, based out of Mora, Ada County. The role oversees energy‑related safety, change management and commissioning readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and document all on‑site energy events, including lockout/tagout, circuit modifications and temporary power installations.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70E, and company safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with project leadership, trade partners, utility representatives and commissioning teams to develop safe work procedures.
- Conduct regular safety audits, hazard analyses and incident investigations related to electrical work.
- Support commissioning and operational readiness activities by verifying that all electrical systems meet design and safety criteria.
- Maintain accurate records of electrical change orders, permits, and safety certifications.
- Provide training and toolbox talks on electrical safety for field personnel and subcontractors.
- Act as the primary point of contact for electrical safety issues during construction and early operations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical safety coordination on construction or industrial projects.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, NFPA 70E, IEC standards and utility interconnection requirements.
- Proven ability to manage change control processes and maintain detailed documentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interfacing with engineers, contractors and regulatory agencies.
- Relevant certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or OSHA 30‑hour Construction.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SharePoint or similar document‑control platforms.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to the Kuna site regularly.
Compensation
Salary: $89,111.62 annually (fixed). Benefits include health, dental, vision, 401(k) and paid time off.
Location
Based in Mora, Ada County, Idaho, with daily work at the construction site in Kuna, Idaho.
