Key Responsibilities
- Perform on‑site installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical distribution equipment for utility clients.
- Conduct preventative inspections, troubleshoot faults, and restore service to meet utility standards and safety regulations.
- Document work orders, generate reports, and update GIS data accurately.
- Coordinate with the Utility Services team, project managers, and subcontractors to schedule field activities.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, IEEE, and local electrical codes.
- Provide technical support and training to junior technicians when needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; Associate’s degree or certification in Electrical Technology preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical distribution, utility, or industrial field work.
- Valid Minnesota driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently, lift 50 lb, and navigate various weather conditions.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent written/oral communication.
Preferred Skills
- Journeyman electrician license (ME‑340) or equivalent.
- Experience with SCADA systems, fiber optic splicing, and sub‑metering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, field service software, and GPS mapping tools.
