About This Position
Mastercard is seeking a Director of Sales Strategy and Operations for the U.S. Public Sector, based in Grand Central, Manhattan. This senior role leads strategic planning, execution and operational excellence for public‑sector sales initiatives across the United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and own the sales strategy, go‑to‑market plans and revenue targets for Mastercard’s U.S. public‑sector portfolio.
- Lead cross‑functional teams—including product, marketing, finance and legal—to ensure seamless execution of large‑scale public‑sector contracts.
- Analyze market trends, competitive landscape and policy developments to shape actionable insights and growth opportunities.
- Drive operational efficiency by establishing performance metrics, forecasting models and reporting frameworks.
- Partner with senior executives and government stakeholders to build long‑term relationships and influence procurement decisions.
- Mentor and manage a high‑performing team of sales strategists and operations analysts.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in sales strategy, business development or operations within the public sector or financial services.
- Proven track record of delivering multi‑million‑dollar revenue growth in complex, regulated environments.
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in data‑driven decision making, financial modeling and KPI management.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities; comfortable presenting to C‑level executives and government officials.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $221,949 per year. Mastercard offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, retirement, and professional development programs.
