Director of Clinical Data Analytics
About This Position
The JWCH Institute is seeking a Director of Clinical Data Analytics in Los Angeles, Los Angeles County. This senior role leads the Data Governance Department, overseeing analysts and driving data policy across medical, IT, finance and other key functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Data Governance Department, including a team of data analysts and support staff.
- Develop, implement, and enforce data governance policies and procedures approved by the Data Governance Committee.
- Collaborate with Medical, CQI, IT, Operations, Compliance, Dental, Finance and other departments to ensure data quality, integrity and regulatory compliance.
- Design and oversee analytics strategies that support clinical research, quality improvement and operational efficiency.
- Provide executive reporting and insights to senior leadership for decision‑making.
- Mentor staff, promote best practices, and drive continuous improvement in data analytics processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Data Science, Biostatistics or related field; Master’s preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in clinical data management, analytics or health‑care data governance.
- Proven leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA, FDA, and other health‑care regulatory requirements.
- Expertise with data platforms (SQL, ETL tools, data warehouses) and analytics software (R, Python, SAS, Tableau).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
