About This Position

The Director of Advancement at Calvin Christian School in South Holland, Cook County, leads fundraising and donor engagement on a part‑time (0.5 FTE) basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive advancement strategy targeting alumni, grandparents, churches, grant makers and new donors.
  • Manage segmented donor cultivation, stewardship, and recognition programs.
  • Lead grant research, proposal writing, and reporting to secure external funding.
  • Collaborate with the Head of School and senior staff to align fundraising goals with school priorities.
  • Oversee donor database maintenance, analytics, and impact reporting.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, education, communications or related field; Master’s preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in development, fundraising or advancement, preferably in K‑12 or faith‑based education.
  • Proven track record in donor segmentation, major gifts solicitation, and grant acquisition.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to build relationships with diverse constituencies.
  • Proficiency with fundraising software (e.g., Raiser’s Edge, DonorPerfect) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational and project‑management abilities; able to work independently and as part of a leadership team.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual salary: $61,130.91 (part‑time, exempt). Benefits include flexible scheduling, professional development support, and participation in school events.
