Director – Compliance Solutions

Waystone, a leading asset‑servicing solutions provider, is seeking a Director – Compliance Solutions to lead its compliance practice in Chicago, Cook County. This senior role combines strategic oversight with hands‑on delivery of governance, risk and compliance services for institutional clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the compliance solutions roadmap aligned with Waystone’s growth strategy.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team of analysts, consultants and technologists to deliver governance, risk and compliance services.
• Act as the primary client liaison for compliance engagements, ensuring service quality, regulatory adherence and client satisfaction.
• Drive innovation and digitisation of compliance processes, leveraging data analytics and automation.
• Monitor regulatory changes and translate them into actionable internal policies and client advisory.
• Collaborate with sales and product teams to identify cross‑selling opportunities and expand the compliance portfolio.
• Prepare and present executive reports, performance metrics and risk assessments to senior leadership.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Business Administration or related field; advanced degree or certifications (CAMS, CRCM, CPA) preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in compliance, risk management or governance within financial services, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Deep knowledge of US regulatory frameworks (SEC, OCC, FDIC, Dodd‑Frank, Basel III).
• Proven track record of managing complex client projects and delivering measurable compliance outcomes.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills; ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Experience with compliance technology platforms and data‑driven risk assessment tools.
