Director, Business Development – Specialty Pharmacy

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic business development plans to expand Cardinal Health Innovative Care Pharmacy’s specialty portfolio.
• Identify, negotiate, and close partnership agreements with pharmaceutical manufacturers, biotech companies, and payer networks.
• Lead provider engagement programs, ensuring seamless integration of clinical services and patient outcomes tracking.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—clinical, operations, finance, and analytics—to deliver end‑to‑end specialty solutions.
• Drive market analysis, competitive intelligence, and forecasting to inform growth strategies.
• Represent Cardinal Health at industry conferences, advisory boards, and stakeholder meetings.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Life Sciences or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in specialty pharmacy, biotech, or pharmaceutical business development.
• Proven track record of securing high‑value contracts and managing complex payer/provider relationships.
• Strong understanding of cell, gene, and rare disease therapies, reimbursement models, and regulatory environments.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to travel up to 30% nationally and internationally.

Base salary: $116,865.66 per year.
