About This Position
Cardinal Health is seeking a Director of Business Development – Specialty Pharmacy to lead growth initiatives for its Innovative Care Pharmacy division in Grandview Heights, Franklin County, US. Key Responsibilities
- Identify, negotiate, and secure new contracts with specialty pharmaceutical manufacturers, biotechnology firms, and health‑care providers.
- Lead end‑to‑end business development cycles, from market analysis and opportunity sizing to proposal development and closing.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including clinical, payer, and data analytics—to design integrated specialty pharmacy solutions.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Pharmacy, Life Sciences or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of business development experience in specialty pharmacy, biotech, or pharmaceutical services.
- Proven track record of closing high‑value contracts and building long‑term partner relationships.
- Deep understanding of cell and gene therapy, rare disease markets, and payer reimbursement models.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel up to 30% nationally and internationally.
