Job Summary
Cardinal Health is seeking a Director of Business Development for its Specialty Pharmacy division in Five Points, Wake County, US. Lead strategic growth initiatives, partner with manufacturers and biotech firms, and drive revenue in the fast‑growing cell, gene and rare‑disease market.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy for specialty pharmacy services.
- Identify, nurture, and close partnership opportunities with specialty pharmaceutical manufacturers and biotechnology companies.
- Lead provider engagement, payer contracting, and pricing negotiations to expand market share.
- Collaborate with clinical, data analytics, and reimbursement teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Oversee the creation of proposals, presentations, and contracts that align with corporate objectives.
- Track and report on pipeline performance, market trends, and competitive intelligence.
- Mentor and manage a high‑performing business development team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in specialty pharmacy, biotech, or pharmaceutical business development.
- Proven track record of securing high‑value contracts and partnerships.
- Deep understanding of cell, gene, rare disease, and limited‑distribution drug markets.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to travel regionally and nationally as needed.
Compensation
Base salary: $128,240.96 per year.
