About This Position
The Director of Endoscopy Infection Control at Fujifilm in Bismarck, Burleigh County, US leads all reprocessing and infection‑control activities for the company’s endoscopic product portfolio. This senior role serves as the primary subject‑matter expert on cleaning, high‑level disinfection, and sterilisation of Fujifilm endoscopy equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain infection‑control policies and standard operating procedures for all endoscopic devices.
- Oversee validation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of cleaning, high‑level disinfection, and sterilisation processes.
- Act as the main liaison with hospitals, clinics, third‑party service providers, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with FDA, CDC, and international standards.
- Lead cross‑functional teams—including R&D, quality, regulatory, and customer support—to resolve product‑related infection‑control issues.
- Provide training and technical support to internal staff and external customers on proper reprocessing techniques.
- Manage incident investigations, root‑cause analyses, and corrective‑preventive actions (CAPA) related to infection‑control failures.
- Prepare and present technical reports, risk assessments, and compliance documentation to senior leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biomedical Engineering, Clinical Laboratory Science or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in endoscopy reprocessing, infection control, or medical device sterilisation.
- Proven leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams and large‑scale programs.
- Deep knowledge of FDA 21 CFR Part 820, ISO 13485, CDC guidelines, and international standards (e.g., EU MDR).
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for customer support and audits.
