Job Summary

Cynet Systems is seeking a Desktop / Field Support Technician for a contract position in Hicksville, Nassau County, NY. The role offers a pay rate of $20‑$24 per hour ($44,096.92 annually).

Key Responsibilities

• Provide on‑site and remote (OSS) support for desktops, laptops, tablets, smartphones, telephony, AV equipment, and network devices.
• Install, configure, test, and troubleshoot hardware, peripherals, and software according to company standards.
• Perform field service visits to client sites, diagnosing and resolving issues efficiently.
• Document incidents, solutions, and service activities in the ticketing system.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to escalate complex problems and assist in project deployments.
• Maintain inventory of equipment and ensure proper asset tracking.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in desktop and field support or a related IT help‑desk role.
• Proficiency with Windows and macOS operating systems, Microsoft Office suite, and common business applications.
• Knowledge of networking basics (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS) and ability to troubleshoot connectivity issues.
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for field assignments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with mobile device management (MDM) and enterprise AV solutions.
• Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Professional.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Zendesk).
